Meet the Team

Founder and Director
Tuana Kant, MSc, MD Candidate
Tuana is a third year medical student at the University of Toronto. Prior to her medical studies, she completed her Master of Science in Medical Science, studying the biological mechanisms underlying childhood psychiatric disorders, and HBSc in Neuroscience and Psychology, both at the University of Toronto. She is very passionate about youth health, mental health, immigrant health and women’s health. In her free time she loves to read historic fiction books, do pottery, go out for a run or a pilates class. From her community work and volunteering, she has extensive experience with youth and teaching!

Outreach and Advocacy Lead
Michelle Kasimov, MD Candidate
Michelle is a third year medical student at the University of Toronto with an interest in women’s health and immigrant health. She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University in 2023. She is passionate about mentorship and education, and is happy to be part of the team!

Volunteer - Teacher
Sharon Ackerman
Sharon is a Science and Education Student at Queen's University. She is passionate about working with children, and has major experience in teaching languages to different age groups. She hopes to study education at university next year!

Denis Levi & Roni Kant
Denis completed his Bachelor of Commerce and post-graduate education in Business and Marketing.
Roni is a Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo.
